The Mindy Project: I Slipped
October 8, 2014 8:15 AM - Season 3, Episode 4 - Subscribe

Mindy worries that Danny thinks she's too boring in bed after he "slips."

Anal. They mean anal sex. Mindy ends up roofie-ing herself, which of course works out exactly as well as we think it will.

In the meantime, Morgan mediates Peter and Jeremy's falling out, Peter demonstrates a variety of horrible, horrible sexual positions with a skeleton, and no one is paying enough attention to Morgan finishing his nurse practitioner training.

I never in a million years thought I would see a network sitcom with an A-plot about anal sex.

Best line? "Who is Hillary? Sometimes I think you are just making people up" or something to that effect.

Wow, that episode was awesome. I love how weirdly everyone talks about sex. Also, how Mindy has always dreamed of ditching everyone for a boyfriend.

My favorite part, though, is that she loves whipped cream so much she can't stop eating it off of him. Not totally clear on why it needs to be bitten off, but it did make it funnier.

Ehhh ... I was hoping I forgot some good parts, but looking through reviews, I only came across the "Parent Trapping" of Peter and Jeremy, and a few good lines. But the A.V. Club review has an interesting observation:
Still, look at how far we’ve come. As we enjoy the Mindy and Danny relationship exploration this season, it’s easy to forget that only a year ago Mindy had recently returned from Haiti engaged to (shudder) Casey, and the show was figuring out what to do with the egregious stunt-casting of James Franco (fortunately, he didn’t last long).
The show is in it's 3rd season, and there aren't any more "crazy" tangents at the moment.

Question: was there any more significant meaning behind Morgan knocking down the picture of him with Tamra when he put the picture of Mindy and her dad on his desk?

Random observation: in the first episode of the season, Jeremy tells Peter that he wants to see how things go with Lauren, even though he knows people will "raise their eyebrows." In this episode, he literally razes Peter's eyebrows. I mean I doubt anyone was thinking about that, but I chuckled. (I might also be an English prof.)

I suspect the only thing the picture meant is that every person is the most important person to Morgan when they're in front of him. At least that's how I read it.

I just love this show so much. I laugh out loud every single week. And the whole "Mindy and Danny are together" thing is just working so, so well for me.
