Survivor: Actions vs. Accusations

Probably the least surprising episode Survivor has ever churned out: nearly 44 straight minutes of shitting on John Rocker!

AV Club review of the episode here.

A few thoughts:

-I really like Josh, he seems like a super nice guy and a complete fucking badass, and as much as I wish that his boyfriend were getting more of an edit so we could learn about him, too, the fact that he hasn't had any screen time yet makes me think Josh is probably going to be around for a long time.

-When blonde chick started talking at tribal council it was like omg shut up SHUT UP because could she be any more obvious, but thankfully Rocker is a humongous dummy and still didn't play his idol. I'm glad he's gone, I don't think I could have handled an additional episode of dude being an anus screen time.

-Can't wait for the episode that focuses on the Dipshit Twins next week. I have no idea what their names are, but I can't tell those two wannabe fabio modely boys apart and they both seem soooo dippy.

-I hope Rocker's girlfriend starts standing up for herself. It was so satisfying watching her kick his butt in that challenge last episode, and maybe a little bit of time outside of his sexist, douche-shaped shadow will help.

I was fine with this episode, but that other tribe needs to vote out the other half of the Amazing Race twins if they ever lose. I wasn't a fan of Rocker exactly (it was kinda fun to watch him play so badly and think he was doing well), but if I were in a tribe with someone who openly called people out the way Natalie did, I wouldn't want that person around any longer than necessary.

Her and Baylor both, I thought they were going to tip him off. The guys played that perfectly though. Their answers were the "yeah, we've been humoring the girls but don't worry we're strong" that John needed to hear.

John's biggest disadvantage was the blood vs. water twist. On a regular season of Survivor you want to keep the big strong guy around to win challenges. Even if he hasn't been winning, maybe next week has a component where you just have to carry heavy things. On a blood vs. water season you just have to keep your core alliance safe until the merge and then hope your loved ones made compatible alliances.

His temper and past are also massive disadvantages but he works around camp and doesn't antagonize his own tribe members. I'd rather have him than a Hantz.

i thought that about the women as well until i remembered that john rocker thought they were talking about voting off the old dude like he had told them they were going to do.
