Also, I had forgot that that was his ex-wife, so first I thought it was just one of his friends, then maybe his sister?
And also that scene where she was messing with his briefcase and then they showed the cop walking by I almost had a heart attack.

Also I really love how in shows now writers can and do use writing and deleting text messages as a new way to tell me about the character's internal life, which is like a new tool in the toolbox that didn't exist before text messages.

We did have the 90s thing where you leave someone a voicemail, but then press the button to delete it and record a different message, over and over. That was a bit more gonzo, though.

Reading these two interviews with Katja and Ben about the experiences of their own breakup made the episode even nicer for me. I think this was one of the best ever in the show.
