Just saw this last night at our local film society, which was SRO for the occasion. Glenn Close was amazing, of course, and I particularly enjoyed her toying with Christian Slater when he thought he was directing the conversation - a lifetime of managing fragile male egos had certainly paid off.

The "twist" is telegraphed a mile away, unfortunately, but that just leaves us more time to try to figure out exactly what Joan Hardcastle is thinking at any given moment.
