My Brother, My Brother And Me: MBMBaM 438: Face 2 Face: The Ham Up There

As we prepare for our hometown holiday extravaganza, we present to you our recent live show from Denver, CO! It was a rowdy one, y'all. We suspect that everyone in the room had been visited that night by their city's nightmare airport horse, and had been driven into a state of pure, horrified ecstasy.

Usually I find live shows far inferior to regular shows, but this one was EXCELLENT. I wish I had been at this show. Grinned the whole way through.

My friends got to go to this as a Candlenights present to themselves and I'm so jealous.

Me too, to the point that for most podcasts I don't even listen to this one. But I agree, this was great. I was in the middle of pulling out of a parking spot and had to stop and giggle at this. (I forget which bit, unfortunately. There were many good bits.)

But why did someone pee in the sewing box, what the hell, this is going to stay with me forever, like the bee cake destroyer ask.me.

Here's the Mickey Mouse mailbox... How you end up buying a house with something like that, I just don't understand. Denver must have a tough housing market!

Live show. Goes without saying.

Justin was channeling Mitch Hedberg at a few points of this.

Griffin also has a Hedberg thing he slips into. And I can't blame them. Hedberg was spectacular and badly missed.

I'm thinking they should focus on live shows at venues where recreational marijuana is legal.

Marijuana is legal in Michigan but I don't think they'll ever come back here after the disastrous Detroit show.

Disastrous Detroit show?

Was that the Star Wars one?

It was the Star Wars one. Half the audience was not feeling it and the other half was mad about the half that didn't like it. The audience also seemed really drunk and rowdy. Way worse than audiences at other MBMBaM shows I've been to. It made for a weird, uncomfortable show. It was also the last show before they changed up the audience questions system so those were not great, either. I left feeling like, "Oh, I am a fan of this thing. But I am not a member of this thing's fandom."

And then a guy collapsed while we were leaving the theater so my husband got to relive his paramedic days and do CPR for a half hour. But that was probably unrelated.

Something about the Boyzone question just hit me in exactly the right spot. Them passionately arguing with each other about the most irrelevant things (THAT SAME BLASTOISE) is the best thing to me.
