Runaways: Rock Bottom

Topher has a mental breakdown and Gert's not feeling so hot herself. People underestimate Robert and maybe they shouldn't. Karolina finds out about her father's people's origins a bit.

AV Club: The kids stage an intervention and two dads fight on an exciting Runaways

Uh....was Gert driving a car with the driver's side on the RIGHT side? How did this come about? And why was that a good idea if she's nervous already? I was shocked that she took herself to the hospital at the end. Did enjoy the sisterly bonding though, and Topher's actually pushing Gert and the car out of the way in the end. I did not enjoy Topher's little breakdown and I'm still kind of confused about what happened--he was in a lab accident with Molly's parents?

Also impressed with Robert's sneaky reverse engineering on Jonah, too bad that didn't work. I am curious about the outer space origins of the Gibborim(?) but do we really want all of those people free, especially if they eat other people? Also,, how come Karolina doesn't seem to have the deterioration issues Jonah does?

The Yorkes continue to be amusing. Eiffel is terrifying. That is quite some nerve telling a guy's parents what their child's name isn't. Damn, girl.

The Rolls Royce has its wheel on the right side, we saw this when they first started driving it to save Alex from his dad.

I liked when Robert was like "everybody's mistake is underestimating me" and then he and Janet shared a look, because he knows she feels the same about herself. I'm really glad that both of them have gotten a chance to really shine this season.

I think it's mostly because she's only half Gibborim, so even though she ages like a human, her human body doesn't deteriorate. I think it's implied that Jonah took that body from an actual human, and he's been in it for a long time so it's wearing down unless it gets human energy to keep going.

what scene is this? I don't recall anyone named Eiffel.

Watching this now and the way that they portray Topher being bilingual is driving me insane. Switching between English and Spanish on random words makes sense when he's talking to Molly, maybe, but not when talking to the rest of the group. This is the worst I've seen in a while.
