Various people but especially Alex try to negotiate with AWOL. None of that goes well. Several people are acting decidedly out of character and both Gert and Old Lace are sick.

AV Club: Loyalties constantly shift on a muddled Runaways

The start of this has some delightful quotes:

“Can I meet the dinosaur?” -Livvie, speaking for us all

“I shoulda known you psychos would Frankenstein your own kids into superpowered assholes.” -Evil Cop Dude
“Hey, slight clarifications: our kids are not assholes.” -Stacey
“And they don’t all have powers.” -Catherine
“Right, some of them only have military grade weapons.” -Evil Cop Dude

“Gert hates me. I drowned her dreams in a chocolate waterfall.” -Chase. Yeah, she can get another application!

Is it a good idea to let the dinosaur roam outside in a world where drones exist?

I gotta say that I really enjoyed the Jonah plot but really don't enjoy Alex vs. bad guys plots.

WTF Catherine and Stacey? That is one suspicious cake.

That was Tina with the cake, not Catherine.

I'm suspecting more Gibborim shenanigans with Tina, Stacey, and Victor being strange. And the AV Club said as much. So I guess when the ship exploded they didn't all die and went into the humans nearby?

The crooked cops stuff feels uneven with the rest of the season, and AWOL, while entertaining, feels like he came from a different dimension of another show.
