Vincent van Goghs life is so groundbreaking and iconic, that by now, almost a century and a half later. It's easy to fall into a cliché. But this movie brings the torment of an artist trying to create something new, true, alive.
And it's not that annoying that instead of speaking French and Dutch they're all speaking English.
All in all this movie does a good job at bringing to life the manic haunted artist who suffered to bring us something new and beautiful.
So all in all a movie that shouldn't work, but does.
Recommended.
