Wow. This show is SO SO SO GOOD.

It was episode 6. I just finished episode 7 about his mother. It was also incredible. Large parts of it took part in french. I love how willing this show is have large parts take place in languages other than english.

The episode about his mother broke my heart.
It also, and the episode with Steve, gave me Master of None vibes.

This show is SO SO good. As a Korean-American it’s so cathartic and painful and joyful to watch an experience that is not mine and so different in many ways but soooo relatable also.

Just discovered this show (Ticketmaster gave me a free 30-day Hulu trial when I bought a seat for a local ballet performance - woohoo) and wow yes, it's great. I almost stopped early on when Ramy himself just got too unbearably, unrealistically awful for me, given his setup in the great first few 20 minutes, but after watching the episodes focusing on his sister and mother I'm blown away, and wishing they'd gotten to those sooner in the series. Can't wait to finish the last 3 episodes, and am already recommending this show to pals.

Season 2 is making its way on some best-of lists, so just started this last week and holy crap if season 2 is better, then I better buckle up because season 1 is phenomenal.
