Maaaaaaybe I am not remembering key details but it sure feels like Danny and Aubrey is completely out of nowhere.

danny and aubrey was set up from the very first scene they both appeared in, and aubrey talks about danny a lot, but there's basically been no on mic interaction with them so i feel you.

I'm only halfway through, but I was really touched, for some reason, that the forest service folk came running when the call came from Juno.

And I find it hilarious that they repeatedly can't remember Ryan Gosling's name. There's a bird naming theme! Duck, Pigeon, Drake (a male duck)...Gosling! Come on, boys.

I remember Danny & Aubrey being a thing way back when, but there are a lot of details to track in this one and it was awhile ago. Every story needs one new couple.

I think this was my favorite episode so far. Maybe because as the story fills in its own blanks and everyone has fewer blind spots, I definitely felt the difference of being fully on board the car instead of hanging on the outside. Also I felt like the acting was really on point and I really enjoy their acting styles (I wonder if there being less mystery about what's going on and what they have to do makes that easier).

Every story needs one new couple.

Does it though? I feel like people really need to give the brothers a pass on this. I was totally distracted in the Danny/Aubrey scene by the fact that it was Travis and Griffin voice acting this.

I was also incredibly touched when the other forest service trucks came in, and I loved Griffin naming the parks. Lovely moment.

+1 for naming the parks. 1+++ for that last line about the hornets' last flight. 1- for Billy. :(
