Also titled: 3615 code Père Noël, Deadly Games, Dial Code Santa Claus, and Hide and Freak is a 1989 French horror-thriller film. A killer dressed as Santa Claus breaks into house only inhabited by a young boy, Thomas, and his grandfather.

The movie is a bit like Home Alone meets City of Lost Children.

Managed to see this on the big screen at the Alamo Drafthouse in NoVA the other night (and was able to hold off watching it at home when it dropped on Shudder a couple of weeks ago, almost immediately after we'd gotten tickets to see it at the Drafthouse).

It's crazy! And very French and 80s. I'm not 100% sure who it was made for (other than me 30 years after the fact)...I kept thinking that the tone was like The Goonies if instead of the Fratellis there had been one serial killer out of an R-rated slasher movie.

The kid's mullet is the most striking image in a movie full of striking images.
