Why did they end with Overnight Salad! The tune! It’s stuck in my head! Forever?! Arghhh!

Just from a pure logistics point of view I'm confused why they've been ending with the musical guest (or in this case, the musical guest followed by a prerecorded bit. Part of the point of the 10-to-1 sketch was that you could tweak it at the last minute it to adjust for earlier stuff going long or short.

Also, Elizabeth Warren is much better at keeping a straight face than Kate McKinnion.

Chloe Fineman passes as a bond girl, took me a second to recognize who she was. The entire monologue skit was super fun.

Nice to see Bowen Yang branching out on UW instead of just playing on his ethnicity.

Enjoyed Game Night a lot.

With the exception of maybe Bottle Boi (love Bowen but this didn't quite land) this was the most enjoyable show I've seen this season, though I did have to spend some time googling what was up with the Weeknd's face. It had a weird retro feel to it, from Debbie Downer, to girl at a party, to return of the Trump Boys, to sketches that seem to be going in one direction and then actually have a second jokey part after that. Also loved this goofy TikTok.

It cannot be over stated how much they dynamically change the show while it is on the air. This includes dropping sketches as well shortening yet to be aired sketches. This is to account for the fact that don't know ahead of time how much they will be holding for applause.

It is quite possible there was another sketch planned after "Overnight Salad."

If I think about it for a sec it seems like 10-to-1 has been a bit glitchy lately, like they're removing something at the last second and doing two sets of commercials, but I'm not going to draw conclusions yet.

On the Couch was really really awesome, at least musically. Probably my favorite of the Chris 'n Kenan things so far.

Someone on Reddit brought up a good point about Girl at a Party having changed over the years from a word-mangling kinda-political straight-shooter to a plain ol' drunk girl dum dum.

Game Night I wasn't quite following except for the overall plot, like they were mumbling through establishing what was the "deep quotes" idea. They just kinda started going down that path. Perhaps just rushed as a "kiss Daniel Craig" (or vice versa) vehicle. That kind of thing happens, I'm sure of it. "Would you look at that, another couples script for the [insert preferred sex symbol] episode!"

This was a silly, goofy episode and I loved most of it. Such a relief after last week's episode.

If you need any ammunition for this argument, this sketch was cut from dress in both the David Harbor and Adam Driver episodes

Seeing Elizabeth Warren on this episode felt like an extra turn of the knife in my heart. She did well -- she has a good sense of humour, and she's the kind of person who will do her damn best at anything she decides to do -- but I felt a certain grim, angry energy in her performance. And when Kate McKinnon rushed at her and gave her a hug, it felt a bit frantic, like the hug was something she needed emotionally. I could be projecting all this, of course, but that's how I read it at the time.
