This was pure fanservice, and -- other than the severe lack of the usual secondary characters -- I loved it.

Oh no! The only way to save Phryne is for Jack to pull off his shirt!

"Oh Jack! There's a spider here, on my bed, come, save me, on my bed!"

That was definitely fan service, and I also adored it! Phryne and Jack deserve each other in all the best of ways.

My only complaint was that every few minutes after Phryne got back, I kept thinking "Gee, I really hope they sent a note to Dot and Hugh!"

jeather, I thought you were joking about those two scenarios, so it delighted me even more when they actually happened!!

My only gripe was that it needed way more Dot and Hugh.

I did miss the rest of the cast! And I wished for a bit more emotional maturity from our Miss Fisher.
