Oliver is a young non-verbal autistic boy who uses a smartphone to communicate with people. When a mysterious creature uses the boy's devices against him to break into our world, his parents must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.

On the one hand, this has a somewhat rote Creepy _____ Wants to Befriend [Read: Kidnap/Destroy/Absorb] Child story, even with the This Time It's Through Screens! wrinkle.

On the other, the director is a way better than average Spielberg acolyte who treats the autistic kid's viewpoint with interest and respect and has real flair. And the cast is excellent.

It's not earth-shattering (again because of the been there seen that aspects of the screenplay), but I enjoyed it.
