This is a top shelf period romantic drama with all of the trimmings. Being able to look forward to watching this is a rare bright spot for us. It's got that sweeping, melodramatic, but vaguely anodyne reassuring vibe of Downton Abbey.

My spouse lives for this. It's the only thing she wants to watch ever. Glad there are six seasons.

We've been watching on Acorn TV, which we get free via our library.

We love Roy. Comrade Doll being One of Those Outlander People, she clocked James Bligh as a closeted character almost instantly, given that David Berry plays another closeted upper crust man as Lord John on that show.

The reveal about Sarah having been in Ravensbrueck was a punch to the gut.

I’ve started watching this series inspired by this post...and I’m little stressed out that there appear to be spoilers in the front page for the subsequent seasons.
