I loved this show when I first discovered it a few years ago. Now I'm hoping there'll be enough MeFites who want to watch/rewatch and discuss it, to make it worthwhile to post about it.

The scenery is breathtaking, costume and set design are fantastic, and the cast is excellent, with some truly great-looking leads. I doubt any man has ever rocked a tricorn quite like Aidan Turner, and he is hotness personified in late eighteenth century attire.

There was a lot of table setting in this first episode. Ross rolls up his sleeves and gets to work, Elizabeth and Francis marry, the Warleggans plot, and enter Demelza, with her loutish father and brothers behind her. We also meet some of the supporting characters. I always liked Verity, and Aunt Agatha is an awesome character.

And out of it if the pics on the cushions, mugs, postcards etc in the Cornish gift shops are anything to go by.
