Random Notes:

*This episode's title is probably a reference to 2007 French horror movie Inside (À l'intérieur), a fantastically gory slasher about a woman (Beatrice Dalle) who stalks a pregnant lady with the intent of carving the fetus out of her (on Christmas Eve!).

*"You should do something about that perspiration problem, Dick." Nixon infamously seemed to bomb his presidential debate against Kennedy (September 26, 1960) because he (Nixon) was seen to sweat copiously throughout. Those who listened to the debate on the radio thought Nixon had done well, or even won, but people who watched the debate on TV generally considered Nixon the loser. Nixon went on to lose the election.

*Steve Jobs died on the same day that American Horror Story debuted (October 5, 2011).

The actors not resembling their historical counterparts is really distracting. Craig Sheffer's Nixon voice is pretty good, though. The sets and costumes are ok, but the footwear either really hits or really misses.

Paulson as Mamie Eisenhower is a chameleon again. Her being body snatched was telegraphed, but I'm loving it.

"Wait wait wait. How's it going to come out of me?"

Also, nice dig on the Discovery Channel.

I'm not sure if the kids are hamming it up on purpose, or if they're... just not great. I'm starting getting the feeling that the writing for present-day is deliberately cheese.

AHS seems to have subtle ties between seasons, I wonder where/ how this set will fit in (if at all).
