Stove League: Episode Sixteen

In the first season finale, the parent company Jaesong moves its investments into heavy industry... and moves to disband the Dreams and cut their losses. GM Baek has just one week to find a new owner to buy the team or the entire franchise will cease to exist, the staff will be let go, and the players dispersed throughout the league.

The finale implies that Baek is going to move on to another sport... I hope they find a way to bring him back to baseball because I could watch about ten seasons of this.

My proposal for a follow-up season is that the Dreams find themselves running neck and neck with the Vikings, who have an innovative new GM of their own. The teams are so evenly matched that Baek starts turning his attention to the play on the field: extreme shifts; studying for ways to optimize baserunning, bullpen use, etc. He runs into resistance from some of the veterans to his new ideas. Meanwhile, it turns out that his rival may be using video to steal signs... Baek could call for out there stuff like five infielder/two outfielder shifts, pairing a left handed reliever and right handed reliever who were once both hitters, to swap in and out as pitcher/left fielder... Arguing with the catcher about pitch use...
