Nice, though the will they won't they of Finn and PB is kind of old.

I enjoyed it, but was confused by PB's age in this one. Was I just thrown off by her hair style? Or was this supposed to have taken place prior to her returning to her original age? I figured the whole "will they, won't they" thing came back to an abrupt end when PB went back to being old enough to rule.
I loved Mr. Treetrunks' quiet indignation at Finn's repeated, "Hot buns" comment, though I felt bad for Treetrunks as it seemed she was disappointed when he turned her around and they left.
It's rather sad that almost any candy person with an inch of rational thought ability ends up dead in one way or another, as it was pretty absent in the minutes that followed their collective freak out over the door being unable to open.
Crunchy. It seems like Crunchy should go hang out with the Peppermint Butler, though perhaps he's just power hungry and not evil?
A good decent episode this was.

Bubblegum is evil — because she appears to be chastened in this story. I hadn't considered that perhaps this episode does not follow the last one chronologically. So I guess the jury is still out.

It would definitely be an interesting element to PB's character, that it was her maturing into the role of ruler of the Candy Kingdom that turned her evil. That the job took someone who wasn't that bad and pushed them over the edge. I still think she's chaotic neutral.

Timeline-wise, the one thing we can be sure of is that this episode takes place after Cinnamon Bun left with Fire Princess.

Kinda saw this as a maturing of Finn and PB's relationship. They're just hanging out, and PB talks more as equals and less as princess to her hero. Seems she is trying to be more chill about ruling after the fire kingdom incident.
