I enjoyed the entire franchise, but no one is ever going to compare them to Hereditary or The Witch.

On The Final Girls podcast, Anna Bogutskaya covered this and I could not agree more with her take: this is both a brilliantly existential film about how Death is everywhere and around every corner AND a desperately by-the-numbers slasher with paper thin characters.

I fucking love it.

I remember seeing this in the theaters and loving it. Devon Sawa eating....I forget what from the can with a spoon TAUNTING DEATH was just delightful.

Lovely premise, especially the rank speculation as to the rules - if there really were any.

I felt that it aged well, and was clever enough to be entertaining.

Carter was the worst, but also a bad character.
