Utilizing hours of unseen archival footage shot during by Albert and David Maysles as they were making their 1975 documentary, The Beales is a new take on the women of Grey Gardens.

71% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Currently streaming in the US on HBO Max and Criterion, and uploaded as well to YouTube. (Hat tip to bcwinters.)

If, after watching this, you still can't get enough of the women of Grey Gardens, there's a little bit more footage in the documentary That Summer which is a bit more behind the scenes / prequel of the Maysles footage (previously).
