Mac and Me (1988)

A Mysterious Alien Creature (MAC) escaping from nefarious NASA agents, is befriended by a young boy in a wheelchair (Jade Calegory). Together, they try to find MAC's family from whom he has been separated. Famously terribad, from the lousy creature design to the egregiously over-the-top product placement, to the laugh out loud awful "kid goes over a cliff" scene that Paul Rudd pranked Conan O'Brien with over and over and over again for years.

Directed by Stewart Raffill (Tammy & The T-Rex).

7% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. "Mac and Me is duly infamous: not only is it a pale imitation of E.T., it's also a thinly-veiled feature length commercial for McDonalds and Coca-Cola"

Currently streaming in the US on Hoopla, Tubi, and RedBox. JustWatch listing.

Cut from all of the US versions, there is a scene in the Japanese release in which Eric is seen getting shot to death.
