Mystery Science Theater 3000: SQUIRM Rewatch

Rewatch! A power line goes down, supplies continual live current to a bunch of worms, and as a result they go nuts and eat people. Fixing the power line ends the situation. Who would have thought? Also has the short A Case of Spring Fever, featuring Coily the Spring Sprite, may his dark name be praised. Previously.
"A Case of Spring Fever" is pretty fucking bizarre. Who was the intended audience for educational shorts about building materials featuring all adults? Was there a big anti-spring campaign going on, and Big Spring felt the need to fight back? Were kids supposed to be entertained by a bunch of boring dudes playing golf talking about springs? WHY WAS THIS MADE?!?!?

Coily produced it with his own spring money.

The "host segment" after cracks me up; I love that they take the premise of the short to its most ridiculous extreme where every single item has its own anthropomorphic sprite: "I'm Mike's Socksy, the Mike's Socks sprite!"

Some people like Rifftrax and some don't, but their revisit to A Case of Spring Fever is one of their best shorts!

I haven't seen that!
I like Rifftrax a lot, at least the ones with Mike, Kevin, and Bill and the ones with Mary Jo and Bridgett, because they have really good chemistry from years of working together. (The ones with the two English guys, meh.)
