This is a spiritual successor to Searching and there is a bit at the beginning of the movie that calls back to that movie.

Oh wow! I loved Searching, so I'm excited for this one. Can't wait for it to come to streaming so I can see it.

Nice little thriller, capably put together. I guessed one twist right away, but one of my favorite games uses a similar trick, so it's hard to criticize it on those grounds. While the characters aren't exactly complex, Storm Reid demonstrates she's now mature enough to carry a film. Looking forward to more work from her.

I, too, feel this is Reid's breakout role. She was great in A Wrinkle in Time but that one had a lot of other famous people taking up screen time. I also appreciated Joaquim de Almeida's acting in such a constrained window, literally.

So first of all Javi better have gotten his rating changed because that dude deserves 5 stars.

I put this movie on today because I was doing laundry and netflix was like "Hey you might like this." I remembered the previews not being really compelling to me when the movie came out so I thought it would be one of those ok movies where I half pay attention is fine for a laundry movie.

But I got sucked in really quickly. While a lot of the twists are pretty obvious if you're genre savvy, the strength of the cast makes this a compelling watch. And there are little details, like the hesitation on the bus captcha. Definitely pleasantly surprised by this one.
