Fortitude: Episode 1 (Part 2)
February 10, 2015 7:26 PM - Season 1, Episode 1 - Subscribe

This is the second half of the two hour premier, aired as a one-hour episode on February 5, 2015.

Sheriff Andersen and the police close in on their murder suspect, while DCI Morton who turns up in Fortitude follows a different line of enquiry. It is revealed DCI Morton left London before Stoddard's murder was reported. The chief suspect for the murder of Charlie Stoddart is Natalie Yelburton, another scientist who works with Dr. Stoddart and is missing. Dr Stoddart, Yellburton and Rattrey were to meet at Stoddard's home presumably to discuss the glacier area potentially being a huge scientific find and possibly to corroborate Stoddart's report to the Governor, which would halt the development and building of the glacier hotel. Such a discovery thwarts the plans for the hotel to be finally built.

I didn't realize that "episode 2" was the second half of the premier on Pivot. I actually missed seeing in on 5-Feb and was trying to catch up, not realizing I'd already seen it.

Unless I'm very confused, but hey, it's a confusing show.

And I've just watched episode 3, thoroughly hooked and equally confused. This has replaced Broadchurch 2 which has been such a disappointment.

Is what Morton said about bamboo windchimes true? I'd never heard that before.

I'm guessing the windchimes-as-swinger-sign is a trope in this show, but not so much in real life. I'll be watching episode 3 Thursday on pivot, glad to know it's still confusing-but-compelling.

Okay this was the 2nd part of the premier, episode 3 aired Feb 5 and episode 4 on Feb 12. I'll try to get things caught up in here in fanfare land.
