Fortitude: Episode 3
February 12, 2015 8:27 PM - Season 1, Episode 3 - Subscribe

Dan and Frank travel up the coast in search of a suspect; Dan's feelings for Elena threaten to overwhelm him. This episode aired on Pivot on February 12, 2015.

From the AV Club review: "The further Fortitude proceeds into its first season, the more clear it becomes that one of the most interesting things about it is the way it deals with its hero. As mentioned in earlier reviews, by all rights Fortitude should be about the adventures of hero DCI Morton and his attempts to clean up the messy Nordic town that no one can make sense of. And as much as the series feints towards this purpose, it’s true blueprint is for something much more subversive."

And with this I think we're up to date on fanfare. This episode and episode 3 both slowly advanced the plot, but also gave us more insight into the various characters. I hope that, with the stage set, we are moving deeper into the mysteries surrounding this frozen town.

I'm still as puzzled as ever. A lot of time was spent on the search for Maybe Crazy Guy and daughter and the Husky Hut. The sick boy is still in the hyperbaric chamber and his mother isn't insisting that he be airlifted to the mainland? The confusion over the time of Professor Stoddart's death, was that just a ruse to get his body into the research center? And nobody's said anything about a funeral/burial but since dying on the island is against the law, the body's probably locked up in jail anyway.

who feeds the huskies? man, this show is so very good at showing character but it has so many loose leads and so many near identical characters. Who was the school teacher - was he in previous episodes? I wish I had not recently seen a few episodes of Lillyhammer because I'm getting a bit confused...

Yes, the school teacher was in an earlier episode but in what capacity, I forget. I'm pretty sure his wife (?) was in the bar scene when Sick Kid Mother left her cheating husband in charge.

I wish someone would ask Sexy Blonde Scientist why she didn't show up at the Professor's house for dinner. Seems impolite to blow off your boss like that even if he was dead.

i want to make a mind-map of the characters, like in detective shows. Is there a way to do that collaboratively online?
