The story of the Human Cannonball

Bad news: the memory palace has left the Maxfun network. Good news: there may be a lot more frequent memory palaces soon!

It seemed an odd fit when he joined MaximumFun, but I'm glad the split is amicable. The show seems a better style for Radiotopia, but at the same time it would be more of the same as 99pi. I hope Nick can make work, and we get more episodes.

I really love this podcast, but I think Nate was a writer on Parks and Rec so the episodes were few and far between as he was busy with Hollywood stuff. To hear he might do this full time is kind of amazing, I hope someone like gimlet media picks him up.

I liked this episode because I never really thought about human cannonball tricks before. I don't think I've seen one in person but to hear it was a spring with a fake explosion, and the path was fairly predictable is good to hear that makes it a relatively safe, predictable trick if done right.
