"National" holiday? You know we have email overseas, too? And complex feelings about it? Think global village!

Apart from that, I love most everything about Email Debt Forgiveness Day.

I absolutely love Email Debt Forgiveness Day, although it gave me anxiety just thinking about it!

That said...I wasn't super keen on this episode. I don't use Instagram and wasn't familiar with Marnie, so it did expose me to something new. But I just felt like it wasn't satisfying. Maybe I just don't "get" Marnie? I also sorta felt like there should have been a second half to the episode, maybe about a different internet-famous animal.

FWIW my dog internet celebrity of choice is Pudge.

"Internet has picture of dog" is about the fluffiest subject I can imagine, and I don't feel like this added much on top of that.

Yeah not that the show needs to be hard hitting all the time but I feel like there's a part 2 of this missing somehow. The interview with Marnie's owner is nice, she seems very authentic but...not to be negative for no reason but there's something slightly creepy about people showcasing their disabled pets for money. There should at least be an opposing viewpoint, what does PETA think about internet animal celebrities (or someone less extreme obviously). Maybe the animals don't care, sure, but it's at least weird that this is an option for owners of pets suddenly and I'd like to hear more about that rather than how pleased Marnie's owner is about her current financial state.
