This was such an amazing episode. It begins lightly - Master's having to explain what sex is to religious couple, Langham's lost boner, some of the Ethan/Vivian scenes. But then it turns so tragic.

Libby's miscarriage. When Masters delivers his own stillborn daughter, and for a few seconds he's just holding her, looking as lost as he did in the sleepwalking scenes, before he snaps back into doctor mode and hands her over to the nurse. I just. That scene is like, a level of hell or something. It was harrowing to watch the first time, and it's just as powerful seeing it again.

And then when he finally breaks down at the end, with Virginia. The intimacy of grief. And how sad for his marriage that he won't or can't be that raw with Libby.

Amazed at how much plot development they packed into this episode. It was interesting to see how well Ethan connected with Henry. He can't for an instant place himself in a woman's shoes, but an 8-year-old boy is right up his alley.

The miscarriage scenes were horrific but handled pretty well. I know it wasn't done but I think Libby would have liked to have "met" and held her.
