Arrow: Al Sah-Him

Oliver (but not Oliver) spends time in Nada Parbat, and then visits Starling.

I wish I had time to do a thorough recap and review, but that's not in the cards. I just decided to post this as it hasn't been put up yet, and I get the feeling people will have opinions about the implications of the final scene.

It's probably just me, but every time they mention the location of the League's HQ, I don't think Ra's but Boston Brand.

Nyssa engaged to Al Sah-him: I may have rolled my eyes or laughed. Poor Nyssa. Ah, ha, ha. Joke's on poor Felicity. She should have stuck with the other masked vigilante running around Starling City.

What is with everyone jonesing to destroy that stupid city, anyway?

Thanks for posting, sardonyx. I had a bet going on whether a full week would go by without a new post.

I figure I've always enjoyed the discussions when other people post them, so I may as well jump in (albeit very, very late) and open up the discussion.

In the Batman universe it was always poor Bruce who was being dragged to the alter and married off, not the demon's daughter, so I guess this is a twist to the formula, although it's one that I'm not enamored of at all.

So does this mean it's finally time for Thea to become Speedy? I'd rather see her focus on getting Queen Inc. back into the family, because with Ray going off to headline his own show, somebody is going to have to take over operations, and I'd rather it wasn't some other arch-villain.

Queen Consolidated is dead. Thea has her own pile of cash from Malcolm's estate, she doesn't need the company. I think that whole plotline has been abandoned.

The "future newspaper" they've been showing in The Flash mentions a Queen Inc. along with the "Green Arrow." Could be a hint towards the future direction of the company (or misdirection or prop errors.)

So Ra's wants his heir to destroy his home city? Familiar. Don't they have anything new?

If you are willing to use bioweapons to destroy entire cities, then why all the palaver with swords and bows and crap? If you are willing to use modern tech in that one respect, why not also use guns like all the other assassins in the world?

Who is hiring these yahoos anyway? Everyone that they have killed so far, they seem to have killed for free.

Their reward is the satisfaction of a job well done! Just like all freelancers.

Just caught up to this. Nyssa and Laurel were great. Laurel is into Nyssa, and it's adorable but weird because Nyssa was in love with her sister.

Flashback continues to add nothing.

Still not convinced that Oliver will come back from this.

I KNOW, RITE????

It's not, like, Gotham or anything. Hell, Palmer had pretty much everyone on board with re-naming the damn place a coupla months ago, didn't he? So even the actual residents aren't too worked up about the place's identity - it's a total mystery why aaaalllll the villains seem to think that "Destroy Starling City!!" is their life's work. (O.K., admittedly, killing most of the residents with bio-weapons is pretty evil . . . . .)

Whatever happened to super-villains who just want to steal enormous piles of money?
