Bob's Burgers: The Oeder Games

With the threat of a rent increase on Ocean Avenue, Bob organizes the other tenants for a rent strike. I enjoy how Mr. Fischoeder is basically an insane rich supervillain, but also has moments of just being an old dude who's lonely because he has no real peer group.

That said, this was very much the B-plus version of a Community paintball episode. I mean, that's a solid B-plus, but it felt a little too much like an homage.

Also, this seemed like one of the most Bob-centric episodes in a long while.

But all in all, this was a great season with some really fun stuff. It's nice to not have to remember a season's worth of plot arc and just enjoy a family that loves each other but drives each other a little nuts. This is kinda the new King of the Hill.

Thankfully the last few episodes have dialed down the kids a bit back to normal. There were some bits along the season when it felt like the three of them were on high doses of sugar, all shouting (plus Linda) at the same time. I was actually afraid they were going to flanderize the characters into Hyper-mode so soon.

This is kinda the new King of the Hill.

Well, yeah, its the staffs of Home Movies and King of the Hill working together (minus Brendan Small, unfortunately).

To me H. Jon Benjamin's voice will always be linked to Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. I wish they could have gotten Jonathan Katz (the voice of Dr. Katz) to do more in Bob's Burgers because I loved the interaction between Ben & Dr. Katz. So far Jon Katz has only been on once (as far as I've noticed) and that wasn't with any direct dialogue with H. Jon Benjamin. I really hope they get him back in a future episode.

That was a great episode. It's always nice to see Bob get a victory.
