Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: Framed for Murder
September 15, 2015 7:39 PM - Season 2, Episode 9 - Subscribe

Phryne wades into the world of showbiz when a silent movie that's being produced by one of her oldest friends is derailed by murder.

Phryne: Did you have a boyhood dream, Jack? To tread the boards or bat for Australia?
Jack: Oh, to ride the Tour de France, but then the war happened. And what about you? What were your girlhood dreams, Miss Fisher?
Phryne: I'm living them, Inspector.

I was not looking forward to this one in the re-watch - the tone-deaf racism in the treatment of the black actor was pretty gross. I think I'd rather just watch a slide show of the costumes. There were some spectacularly gorgeous outfits this episode, but, ugh.

Not dealing with this specific episode, but note that Netflix now has the 8-episode Season Three up for streaming.

Yes, I posted to the Fanfare Talk thread about that - I'll post the remaining S2 episodes one or two a night so they're all up before the weekend so that the S3 E1 thread is up by the weekend, and then see how quickly people want all of S3 to go up.
