Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: Murder & the Maiden
September 26, 2015 11:51 AM - Season 3, Episode 2 - Subscribe

Phryne reconnects with a former lover when an RAAF officer disappears from a military base amidst suspicions of sabotage and the murder of a woman.

*Baron Fisher isn't seen or mentioned in the episode.
*The murdered woman is identified as Virginia Forbes, then revealed to have also been the missing Flight Lieutenant James Manning. While at first it appears that her murder was due to her investigation of the mechanic's union over the sabotage of the plane at the last airshow, the Bolshevik connection is a red herring. In the end it turns out that she was poisoned by Sergeant Greaves, over Manning's apparently homosexual relationship with Squadron Leader Willis Jones.
*The finale contains a gunfight, and a run-down by Phryne via plane and Jack via motorcycle.
*Hugh and Dottie have some more friction over Dottie's work, but settle on a date for the wedding in the end.
*Burt almost gets a love interest in the Russian coat check woman, Tatiana, but she's off in hiding in Tasmania by the end.
*We end, as most episodes do, with a flirty Jack/Phryne drink in the parlor.
