Christina Applegate was a good judges. My favorite dance was Valerie and Ricky's hip-hop routine. It was great choreography and great dancing. I also really enjoyed Bridget and Emilio's routine.

I would have kept Serge instead of Casey, but I am mostly happy about the top 10. I also liked that they showed us the All-Stars.

Overall a good episode, with a lot of good performances but man, double eliminations bum me out!

Travis nailed the choreography and the whole vibe of his routine suited Jessica and Casey's youthful appeal, and they should be very grateful that routine came along when it did! Between that routine, Love Runs Out and Leaving Song, Travis is displaying a welcome degree of diversity in his choreography this year.

On balance, I think Zack is my favourite, I didn't notice him much during auditions but I find him compelling in his routines (pairs and group dances). I don't think anything can stop the Ricky train, but I'm hoping Zack lasts a few more weeks.

This was a pretty strong episode, but oh man, Mandy Moore's music choices. She always picks the most overwrought, melodramatic and downright schmaltzy songs. The heightened emotion works sometimes, but frequently the music choice paired with the choreography just makes me laugh and/or cringe. Like, I liked the group girls' routine but I could not take it seriously with it set to a godawful power rock version of My Immortal.

I really liked Travis Wall's group number though. Definitely a change from the usual sort of group numbers the guys get, and just really lovely. Travis's couples choreography is starting to wear thin a bit for me, even though that Jessica/Casey routine was very sweet and pretty, but his group routines remain compelling.

Agreed, Mandy Moore has the worst taste in music. However, at least her affection for overwrought torch songs makes her stand out compared to Travis, Stacey, Bonnie, Tyce et al whose music taste is as samey as their choreography. I'm not a big fan of Sonya either, but I will watch any dance set to Bjork.

I would have sent Casey home and I will miss Carly, Teddy, and Serge. Hulu was being irksome though so we didn't see the eliminations (ep stopped playing during Academy of Villains number). Bummer.
Excited to see the all-stars next week!

Loved both of the girls' and guys' group dances. I felt like they were both masterful combinations of choreography and costuming (which is a strength of this show that I think often gets overlooked). The way the movements of the girls' long dresses mimicked their movements was really cool. I also loved the little moments where an individual would try to sort of break out of the group.

Christina Applegate is a treasure and I want her to be my friend.
