Angel: Reunion   Rewatch
November 12, 2015 6:34 AM - Season 2, Episode 10 - Subscribe

Darla and Drusilla are back in form, killing their way across Los Angeles. Can Angel stop them... and does he want to?

One of the darker episodes, with one of the more shocking endings of the entire series, as Angel leaves Holland, Lindsey, Lilah, and various other Wolfram & Hart lackeys locked in a basement with the murderous Darla and Drusilla, then fires the Angel Investigations staff when they object.

This is a great episode. Morality on Angel is so much more complex than it is on Buffy--there are very few times when Buffy has to deal with truly evil human beings. When she does, they're taken care of by someone who is more morally grey, like Willow or Giles, so she doesn't have to confront that issue head-on.

I don't think you can argue that Angel makes the right choice at the end of this episode, but it's impossible not to sympathize with him in that moment.

That scene where Angel leaves them in the room -- that's one of the moments that really stays with me from the show.

Far more entertaining a delivery than "I'm not going to kill you but I don't have to save you."
