Having been suspended from the Marshal's service, Raylan decides to use his free time to go head-to-head with the gangsters who are bothering Winona's new husband.
In an amusing subplot, Raylan loses (and eventually regains) his hat. This episode also features the return of David Eigenberg as informer Arnold Pinter, and introduces Steven Flynn as recurring character Emmitt Arnett of the Dixie Mafia.

Yes, it being noon just added to the hilariousness. Day drinking at its finest.
The ordeal with the property forfeiture was so banal and legal and notarized. That is so not Raylan's usual style.
I am very glad the handsome football player did not die. When they cut away for the teakettle-ing I was certain he was a goner. I am so very very grateful he only got beat up. (And I really liked his orange sweater.)
