Arrested Development: Justice is Blind   Rewatch
August 22, 2014 8:20 AM - Season 1, Episode 18 - Subscribe

While grappling with the dilemma of whether or not to open his father's case file, Michael discovers the truth about Maggie.

"What is with the insane moral code in this family?"

A series of doubled plot lines: Shirley and Maggie's fake illnesses, Michael and his son's struggle to reconcile their morality with their inappropriate desires, and Tobias and G.O.B.'s perpetually unfulfilled need for George Sr.'s approval. Cat-like reflexes, blind seeing eye dogs, and an inexplicable obsession with the ten commandments rule the day on another episode of ... Arrested Development.

As I said before, I like the Maggie character and she really blossoms in this episode. Come to think of it, she's like a grown up Maeby. I also like how the intro narration mentions how Michael continued seeing Maggie when he found out she was blind "as not to appear superficial", which totally nails Michael as being more interested in being The Good Guy as opposed to just being a good guy.

A partial lost of the commandments, as remembered by the Bluths (and Maggie):
• Thou shalt protect thy father and honor no one above him unless it beeth me, thy sweet Lord.
• Thou shalt not make up a name in vain.
• Be true to thine own self and to thine own self be true.
