Archer: Double Indecency

A bar fight breaks out.
It's been mentioned in a couple of previous episode threads, but they're definitely doubling down on the just dicking around episodes this season. Not necessarily a complaint, but it does seem an odd choice given the first episode's intimation of a season-long arc of some kind.

I think it will be one of those "everything comes together in the end" things. They're just giving excuses to have everyone coming together (instead of just Archer and Lana for most of the episode) as often as possible.

Definitely the highlight of the season so far. All the group dynamics were in play, belittling Cyril (Lana not caring about his birthday!), Gluela Deville wanting to keep things mysterious but really actually knowing what was going on all along, Krieger naked under his apron and asking whether he would have to seduce a human, Lana and Archer not being the seducers but trying to adjust the odds, Mallory snarking brilliantly throughout. Archer took a relative back seat and everyone had an equal role in the situation in which they found themselves.
And Pam should always get to shine.

Archer dicking around is better than 80% of the shows I watch actually trying. This was brilliant wire to wire.

God, I laughed my butt off all through this one. It definitely made up for the previous two-part snore-fest. This was Archer at its best. Yes, it's dicking around, but when you have a team that can write dialogue as wicked as this, please, by all means, dick-around as much as you want.
