THEY GOT ON SEPARATE PLANES.

Gavin likes live animals in meeting rooms. I'm glad he got the boot - it was about time especially after last week. It was cool to see Action Jack Barker back. I hope whatever those two get up to is plausible and funny. It certainly has the potential to go way over the top. The triple-fake ending with them on separate planes was timed and played very well.

This episode made me really like Erlich again. He took the bullet when he needed to and stepped aside. I'm glad he got the PR job which is what he wants to do anyway and can be good at when he tones it down a bit. It bothered me though that Richard was so mad at him for screwing over PP and then when he learned he was partly at fault for the situation he made no mention of that and got to be somewhat the hero for pulling Erlich back in. Of course it was realistic human nature but I wish he'd have taken a bit of ownership of the situation.

The jacket back and forth at the coffee shop was just perfect. I do want to see Dinesh win one of those someday though. Gilfoyle just shits all over him constantly and while it's funny I feel bad for Dinesh.

I re-watched the karaoke scene about 5 times in a row. I'll probably watch it 5 more times tonight.

Jared's "Oooh it's cold in here" jacket reveal may be the hardest I've ever laughed at this show. At first I thought he was dying from some disease contracted by the rats in the garage and that it was going to be a plague-induced bottle episode.

His creepy elated smile reveal just got me. I *need* this as a GIF. We rewatched the scene about 4 times last night.

I am so glad they subverted that heavily telegraphed phone misunderstanding thing between Richard and Monica. It's so refreshing seeing sitcom people actually talking to each other to avoid dumb mix-ups like that.

Yeah, and it's more realistic for whatshernamethetechblogger to not do that, so I'm less annoyed that "Dude spills all beans to whatshernamethetechblogger because dude is dumb" has been one of the major driving forces of this season.

This kind of thing is specifically addressed in last week's Fresh Air interview with Mike Judge, Thomas Middleditch, and Alec Berg. Essentially, in shows now writers have to go to ridiculous lengths to put a fig leaf on why characters don't just call each other with a cell phone to clear up misunderstandings. Well worth a listen here.

Russ Hanneman: Billionaire Date-Rapist.

I feel pretty confident that he was a date rapist before he was a billionaire too.

I guess I missed something, is there a reason Erlich couldn't borrow with his shares as collateral? I understand the contract says he can only sell to an approved buyer.

Wait: Action Jack is gonna become the Eric Schmidt of Hooli, isn't he. I knew that's who he's supposed to represent. He can't be Ballmer, he's not zany at all!

I suspect nobody would loan him money on shares they can be blocked from collecting in case of default.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he's more representative of an SV silent majority.

Remember, Hooli is more than the sum of [its] collective accolades.

"Our employees derive satisfaction from more than just our state-of-the-art facilities and pressworthy benefits." If that's not the most Hooli statement ever, I don't know what is.
