Penny Dreadful: Perpetual Night

Ethan, Sir Malcolm and Kaetenay return to London; Dr Seward learns Renfield's secret; Ethan searches for Dr. Frankenstein; Lily shares a story from Brona Croft's past.

*Frogs! Lots of frogs.
*Dorian evicts Lily's followers from his house, except for Justine who would rather die than return to the life she knew. He obliges.
*Catriona saves Ethan from attacking vampires in Malcolm's house; Malcolm gets bitten, but appears to be unchanged once Catriona cauterizes the wound with a red-hot poker. She & Malcolm & Dr. Seward go to the madhouse to interrogate Renfield as to Vanessa's whereabouts.
*Victor is moved by Lily's revelation about the death of her daughter, and lets her go free with her mind intact.
*Dracula monologues at Ethan, Ethan wolfs out to fight the vampire throng, Kaetenay joins him in wolfdom and vampire fighting, but will they then fight each other?

*The Great Smog of 1952 killed and estimated 12,000 Londoners

I'm sure some of this is in the second thread that I will be headed to next, but since I try to keep comments in appropriate threads-

I was absolutely sure that Catriona and Sir Malcolm were gonna get it on when he woke up from the cauterization.

WE FINALLY FIND OUT HOW ETHAN BECAME A WEREWOLF SORT OF. At least we found the point of infection although not why or when or how.

I find it hard to believe that Lily's memory of her daughter would move Victor. It strikes me in keeping with his character that Victor would see removing this memory as a boon. How Victor of all people could be penetrated by this story, I have no idea. But it does seem like that is how this season will end, random decisions with little in terms of internal motivation. (See also, Justine's disappointing desire to "die on her feet" and Vanessa's "Ok Dracula go for it.")
