Hmm... has everyone given up on this show? I'm on a job out of town and I won't be able to watch this episode for a couple more days yet, but I've been watching the comment count to see if the episode generated any buzz. Even Dark Matter got a couple comments. Weird.

Sorry. Just behind in my viewing. Only getting caught up now. This is one of those episodes that I find I can't really say anything about as it's just establishing the groundwork for what's going to happen later this season. Oh, I will say I hate the new opening credit sequence.

That said, I hope we're able to keep the discussion going.

"Lets Science this shit."
"Chemistry is a bitch, and so am I."

Eh, I'll give the later a pass, but I'm appropriating the former.

I followed Killjoys the first season and enjoyed. Maybe I'm not paying attention very well this season but I kinda have no idea if there's an arc going on or if it's a monster-of-the-week show now or something.

"Hey little people, you here?"

This episode's picking up, though.

"Novas are bullshit."

I've been watching Dark Matter, too, but either the quality's really dropped off or I'm just in a general TV-watching-malaise.

Both this and Dark Matter have been spinning their wheels a little bit, the season break cost them both a lot of momentum and energy. (Actually, I enjoyed the prison break at the start of this season of Dark Matter but it's reaaaally been spinning its wheels since then.) This one seems to be finding its feet a bit quicker than Dark Matter though.

They're trying to have their cake and eat it too, on that front, to mixed success. Each week is a different monster ("warrant") but each one just-so-happens to drop some hints towards The Big Secret Plot. To their credit though, I do think the writers have figured out what the Big Mysteries actually are and aren't just making it all up as they go along, Lost-style.
