I will be doing recaps of HCF on Bitter Empire. Unfortunately, my lack of a TV and the interference of my 9-5 job are making it difficult to get them up any more than 24 hours after they air, but HOO BOY.

Buying up a competitor is the most SV stuff possible.

As usual, it's hard to get what game Joe is playing. On one moment he's basically giving his company away to Gordon. On the next he's poaching what looks Mutiny's greatest asset, although he seems to be the one tired of doing graphics and the Mutiny frathouse and into, well, corporate infosec.

Cameron is *still* pulling apart the Clark marriage. Donna is still the MVP, with her celebratory kick on the stall.

I really liked the way Cameron and Donna handled the VCs and each twist with Diane. The win and stall kick were fun, but it seemed pretty quick and easy.

The first two episodes of this season were good and I'm looking forward to more, but there is so much going on all the time. I don't think an episode needs to end on 7 seperate cliffhangers, but it feels like they do sometimes. And the second something is resolved another more crazy story line starts up.

More and more with each episode I wish they'd send Joe off to his own untold story off screen. Maybe Gordon could go visit him there and reduce his screen time by about half as well. For me the show is always better when Joe isn't there and Gordon is a side character. The parts are well acted but they annoy me.

He knew that Gordon wouldn't take it. That was a calculated move to shame Gordon for going after Joe for mere revenge. Just like:

On the next he's poaching what looks Mutiny's greatest asset

And having him tell only Gordon on his way out the door. The second thing he asked Ryan to do was to rip Gordon's heart out.

OMG! The silent jig on the conference call! The stall kick in the women's room! Kerry Bishé and Mackenzie Davis never stop nailing it.
