Two hours of robot fighting glory, featuring the last eight competitors (plus a three-bot rumble). Who will win? Who will be scrapped? Who will get the best announcement from Faruq?

The intro for Yeti (in the match vs Tombstone) was the best, hands down.

My favorite part was when the robut attacked the other robut.

Also the guy who was driving Minotaur had an excellent war face.

I'm still annoyed that Tombstone won. Next year, I hope they decrease the allowed length of the horizontal spinner blades to decrease their advantage.

The person holding the sign in the crowd that read "Botty McBotFace" kinda made my day tho.

Miscellaneous thoughts:

I was sad to see Chomp get taken out, it was my personal favorite bot in the competition. Glad it made it as far as it did, though - good to see innovation doing well in a competition so centralized around just a few archetypes. Looking forward to whatever its reincarnation will be next season.

There were some incredible fights in this one; Tombstone vs. Beta was really something, and I was glad to see Beta putting up such a good fight. Beta was up against the most fearsome bot in the competition, and even after losing its weapon was doing an incredible job fighting back.

Impressed by Bombshell forgoing the early KO on Poison Arrow to make it more of a fight, and following up with a definitive literal knockout.

Watching Bronco get systematically devoured by Minotaur was amazing. Apparently there was some technical problem that was preventing Bronco from using its flipper at full power, and it's a shame that the match was clouded by that issue. Even so, Minotaur clearly earned its place amongst the top-tier bots.

I'm surprised Bombshell went for the weapon rather than the tires, but maybe it was a matter of reach?

I thought it was a dick move. Neither of the two components was moving, the count was clearly going to get to 10, and the Bombshell team was just trying to break someone else's shit at that point.

Bombshell should have went with vertical spinner with the plow front end to uppercut Tombstone.
