Also I love how the main love-relationship on this show is still Paula and Rebecca, and Brittany Snow is awesome.

Somebody asked for a Josh POV song last week, and we got it!

Josh's song is a HILARIOUS send-up of Jason Mraz. I didn't think I liked it at first but on second watch I'm dying. Probably in part because I enjoy having the piss taken out of Jason Mraz.

Those competing ballet scenes were just too much for words.

So are they setting Paula up to have an affair (emotional or physical)? Please tell me they're not going there. It would be so nice to see a healthy, adult friendship between a man and a woman on this show (or most shows for that matter).

And dammit, I'd engage in break and enter too for that magic notetaking software.

I love that the show is finally developing Valencia and Josh into fuller characters. Both actors are very talented, and I'm excited for them to get more to do outside of the dynamic from last season.

I don't think they're going for another affair storyline for Paula. The show has put some time into showing the improvements in her marriage to Scott, and Sunil's been set up as such a good buddy for her. Sunil could be really interesting as a target for Rebecca's affections, though--I could see her chasing after him because she feels like that would help her regain her closeness with Paula. Also, the extent to which he already mirrors her but totally sees through her nonsense is fun.

WhiJo and Darryl are always so fun to watch, even in a tiff. I don't think there has ever been a sweeter, more realistic relationship on TV outside of maybe Parks and Recreation.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the show EVER.

First off: Josh's first POV song! Hooray! Josh, what are you doing in my head??? That song did a great job of starting in one direction and going completely off the rails in the best way. Was that the only actual song this week?

Darryl and White Josh! White Josh has become such a well-rounded character, from being judgy about Rebecca eating carbs to "angry crunching." He's become so complex. Watching him and Darryl work out their insecurities was fantastic.

I was so excited about Sunil! He leapt off the screen for me. I agree that I don't think they're going for another affair storyline, and I'm hoping we get to see an adult cross-gender friendship.

Rebecca is this weird force of nature who through her own self-absorption manages to pull other people out of their stasis, and once again she succeeds with Valencia. It was great to get beneath Valencia's shell and see her vulnerabilities - and see how both Rebecca and Valencia had been hiding from their true feelings.

I like the idea of Valencia, Rebecca and Heather becoming a trio. But...

OMG, the distance between Rebecca and Paula at the end! The two of them looking at each other, each with their new friends, and the sadness! ALL THE FEELS. I am happy that they each have new people to bond with and yet I'm so sad!

It's clear that someone on the show went to Burning Man (although they did let the "barter" thing slip through) - they got a lot of aspects of it right. It was about as good as I expect a Burning Man representation to be on TV, although I admit I've never seen the Man in the Middle Burning Man episode.

I should add that I really, really hated Rebecca pushing herself into Valencia's life and forcing her to be friends. I know that's just what she does, but it's one of the character traits I really dislike.

And going back to the ballet, was I the only one who thought it would be perfectly appropriate for Kirk and a Gorn to pop out in the middle of Rebecca's dance? That whole sequence just screamed Star Trek to me.

It's funny, until lemonadeheretic mentioned "another affair" it had slipped my mind that Paula had already had one. Okay, that makes me feel better about Sunil's place in the show. I think I have enough faith in the writers that they won't repeat a storyline like that.

I loved the Thought Bubbles song.

Now I'm wondering if the actors who play Valencia and Josh actually have done ballet.

I loved Sunil, he's so much better as a friend for Paula already.

I was totally feeling the Gorn thing in the ballet!

Gabrielle Ruiz got her degree in dance and spent a few years on Broadway.

VIncent Rodriguez also did a lot of dancing (and apparently, magic?).

Me too.

Also, literal kidnaping!

I am also sad about Rachel and Paula's friendship, though it would be so hard to be friends with Rachel. She means well (with Paula), but she is so caught up in herself. And I hope they do better with Valencia, because I thought she never moved past cliche last season.

The episode was great. Vincent Rodriguez in those tights!

I feel like so much of the show is in Rebecca's mind -- even more than is obvious to the viewer -- that at some point, we're going to start getting clues about how Rashomon some of these stories really should be.

I don't disagree, but on the other hand, Valencia was really the only character who suffered that way last season.
