Shut Eye: Death
January 23, 2017 1:04 PM - Season 1, Episode 1 - Subscribe

A mid level con artist who runs a few palm reading and tarot card shops gets into trouble with the Gypsy family who runs their local circuit. His wife wants him to stand up and get out from under their control.

This show is really interesting with their portrayal of the Roma/Gypsy world, something I'm unfamiliar with. It's like another mafia type show in this respect, and those are always entertaining.

Whoever made the Hulu promos with Ennio Morricone's "Guerra y Pace, Pollo y Brace" deserves a huge bonus.

I love the skeeziness being explored here; I don't normally interact with people of this social class.

Strickland is great in this role. Donovan is solid as always.
