Crashing: Series 1 ( All Episodes)
February 7, 2017 1:41 PM - Season 1 (Full Season) - Subscribe

Phoebe Waller-Bridge's other 2016 comedy revolves around the lives of six 20- and 30-somethings living together as property guardians of a large, disused hospital. Crashing is similarly filthy, funny, sad, and weird to PW-B's Fleabag, if a bit looser.

This is streaming on Netflix right now and if you liked Fleabag, it's absolutely worth your time, even if it doesn't have quite the crystalline perfection that show picked up in its years as a play. It has a lot of the same weird tonal reversals. It also has Susie Wokoma of Crazyhead.

Not to be confused with Crashing (2017), an HBO comedy series about the trials and tribulations of a sad-sack stand-up wannabe.

I liked this, but it didn't stick with me as much as Fleabag did (which I need to watch again). I think it could have used a few more episodes, although it also felt weirdly padded. It kind of meandered (which I didn't mind!) but then felt like it rushed toward an ending.

I think it's absolutely worth watching, although it's almost better to watch it after Fleabag. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a gift and I'm excited to see what she does next.

I wstched this because I adore Damien Molony. I liked it, and wouldn't mind another season (the French artist was my favorite and I would like more of her) but yeah, it didn't quite stick with me. Also the no-utensils restaurant, I found that upsetting, but then I don't like messy hands.
