Chuck: vs. The Wookie
September 28, 2014 10:21 PM - Season 1, Episode 4 - Subscribe

A rival agent from the DEA (who is known to both Sarah and Casey) shows up, saying she needs assistance stealing a gem from a drug lord. However, they are reluctant to help due to past dealings they've both had with her.

This was a fun episode, even if the plot was overly predictable. You could tell what the major beats of the episode were going to be from a mile off, but seeing them happen was enjoyable anyway. Just as an example, of course Casey was once in a relationship with Corinna, but Baldwin played it well when we found out.

Interesting character details are revealed. We learn Sarah's name is just a code name, not her real name. It also seems as though she is genuinely falling for Chuck, which seems weird given she only buried Bryce, what...? A few weeks back?

What I didn't get, though, was Chuck's flipping out over revelations that Sarah was once involved with Bryce. I get that Bryce was Chuck's "most hated person" but given he seemed to be developing feelings for Sarah, refusing to help her and giving the diamond to Corinna because she once dated him seemed stupid, immature and probably even life-threatening given the circumstances they found themselves in at that point.

All in all, an enjoyable episode, despite some predictable and at times uneven story telling. What did you guys think?
