Roberta Colindrez is doing aaallll the heavy lifting in S2. Jasika Nicole hasn't been given much to work with this whole season (aside from the flashback asides in this ep).

And the revelation is that everyone is engaged in a secret war that's being used to hide government expenditures? Am I missing some part of that idea that makes sense?

I have really enjoyed the bulk of this podcast, but this season ender did not work for me at all.

I didn't get the bit about expenditures. I don't know if they revealed why the two sides are actually the same side, both secretly working for the US Government, or whatever the fuck was actually supposed to be conveyed, but on the whole it didn't make much sense to me either. I might try listening again tomorrow and see if I missed something, but I think what happened is the Watcher implied that the U.S. Government was funding both sides and it was... a fake war I guess? I'm laying money now though that it's just a confusing unsatisfying episode, not that I missed something essential to making it make sense.
