Matt's game show "The Box" is a runaway hit but, unfortunately for Matt, that means he has daily contact with his producer, Merc Lapidus. Meanwhile, Sean and Beverly are forced to work for Sean's loathsome ex-partner Tim after Helen puts him in charge of their new show; and Carol won't leave her house.

Any other Mefites watching Episodes? I've been enjoying this show since the first season; I'll miss it when it's gone but I'm looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up.

Tim is worth a pillow over your husband's head.

Wow, five seasons? The end of season 2 seemed like a natural end to the show.

Yeah, I had no idea this thing was still going.

Gosh you guys are so cool. I guess the fans bothering to watch the show three seasons on and hoping to enjoy discussion of it instead of dismissive drive-bys just were waiting for your wise words to open our eyes.

Don't get me wrong, I watched three seasons of this show and really enjoyed it! (Kathleen Rose Perkins is especially great in this.)

I'm just genuinely surprised it's still going - and have felt like that at the beginning of every new season - partly, I guess, because each season finale has felt to me like the natural end of the show. Maybe the writers were always unsure of renewal? I dunno. I'm pleased it's still going and will try to catch up at some point.

Anyway, no snark! Genuine surprise. Carry on.

Yes, what EXISTENZ IS PAUSED said. I followed Stephen Mangan on Twitter, and after the last ep of season 2 he basically tweeted that the show was over for good. Kinda interested to see seasons 3-5 now.

My girlfriend and I love this show, but for whatever reason it fell off our radar after season 3. Good to hear there's plenty to catch up with!

For fans of Tamsin Greig (because how can you not be?), Friday Night Dinner is another perfectly simple and charming sitcom that you might enjoy.
