Blindspot: Back to the Grind
October 27, 2017 7:27 PM - Season 3, Episode 1 - Subscribe
Patterson, Reade, and Zapata have been kidnapped! To save them, Jane and Weller must uncover the secrets of a new set of tattoos given as part of Roman's sick plan of revenge.
I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but that was so daft I turned it off half-way through.

I was intrigued by the first season, found the second entertaining enough, didn't want the third after the second season finale, but here we are and I'll probably stick with it.
My brain is completely turned off for this show, but yeah, the Dotcom character is completely pants. A similar character by Patton Oswald was in Dollhouse that *really* turned it around with a twist after an absense. I'm not getting any of that feeling here.
Patterson is getting much less real and more fan-service-y, to the detriment of the character and the actor. She got both the external and interal recognition that she deserves; being catty about Dotcom is out of character and signals complete reversion. Bah. Projection by the (probably young and hasn't-made-it-once-yet writers)?
Nice line about (paraphrased) "I'm just a game dev now!"
Too bad about Sullivan Stapleton; for a miniscule bit of time I though that he had an opening to get into Hollywood/movies, but... injury/concussion(/other? - it went down in Thailand or somewhere) and now singning onto more-of-the-same in this. <shrug>

I've always like the tattoo puzzles, and I've grown attached to the characters, so this was an enjoyable premiere. I'm liking these hidden secrets they have with this 2 year jump, looking forward to finding out what they are, but I'm tempering my expectations.
